What company size is Bitvaria suitable for?
We primarily work with mid-sized companies (200-2000 employees). They're large enough for serious AI budgets, but small enough to not have their own AI department. We usually can't serve smaller companies economically.
What distinguishes Bitvaria from other AI consultancies?
We focus on implementation, not just strategy. At the end of a project, there's a working application, not a PowerPoint presentation. We work as a dedicated team – no body leasing, no rotating consultants. And we value product quality: applications with clean interfaces that people actually enjoy using.

What AI applications does Bitvaria develop?
We develop three main types: Knowledge assistants (making company knowledge searchable), process automation (automating manual workflows), and document analysis (extracting and classifying information from documents). These categories cover most practical use cases in mid-sized companies.
How long does it take to develop an AI application?
Depending on complexity, anywhere from a few weeks to several months. A simple knowledge assistant can be production-ready in 4-8 weeks. More complex applications with many integrations take longer. We'll give you a realistic estimate after the first conversation.
What does an AI project cost?
Costs vary depending on scope and complexity. An initial conversation for potential analysis is free. Typical projects start in the mid five-figure range. We work with transparent budgets and regular sync meetings – no nasty surprises at the end.
Does Bitvaria use existing AI models or train custom ones?
We rely on established models (like GPT-4, Claude, etc.) and adapt them to your requirements. Custom training from scratch is usually neither necessary nor economically sensible. Our strength lies in integration: connecting AI models with your data and systems.
Collaboration
What does a typical project look like?
We start with a conversation to identify your potential. Then we jointly design the solution – what it should do, what it looks like, what it needs to connect to. During development, you see regular progress updates. After launch, we stay on it and continue developing what proves valuable in daily use.
Does Bitvaria offer maintenance and support?
Our focus is on developing new applications. For ongoing operations and maintenance, we'll find a solution together – either we hand over to your internal team, or we recommend a specialized partner. Pure maintenance business is not our core focus.
What does collaboration look like in practice?
You work with a dedicated team that handles your project from start to finish. Regular sync meetings (usually weekly) ensure you always know where we stand. We use modern tools for project management and communication – you decide what works for you.
Technical
What systems can be connected?
Basically any system with an API – ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.), CRM systems, databases, cloud services. For older systems without modern interfaces, we usually find ways too, e.g., via file exports or middleware.
Where are the applications hosted?
By default in the cloud (AWS), which ensures scalability and reliability. For strict data protection requirements, on-premise hosting is also possible – though with higher effort and costs. We'll advise you on what makes sense for your case.
How secure is the data?
Data security is not an afterthought, but part of the architecture. We work with encryption, access controls, and audit logs. For sensitive data, we can also implement solutions without data transfer to external AI providers. We'll tailor the specific security architecture to your requirements.
